Maryland Asbestos Abatement Contractor License
The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) licenses contractors performing asbestos abatement, removal, and encapsulation work throughout the state under COMAR 26.11.21.
Requirements
- Training: EPA-accredited asbestos contractor/supervisor training
- Examination: Must pass the Maryland third-party asbestos exam
- Experience: Documented asbestos abatement experience
- Insurance: General liability and workers' compensation insurance
