Tennessee Fire Sprinkler Contractor License


The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, Division of Fire Prevention, licenses contractors who install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems.


Requirements


  • Experience: Documented fire sprinkler installation experience
  • Certification: NICET certification typically required
  • Examination: Must pass the state fire sprinkler exam
  • Insurance: General liability and workers' compensation insurance
  • Application Fee: $250

Scope of Work


Licensed fire sprinkler contractors can design, install, inspect, maintain, and repair automatic fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.
