The Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (CIB) issues the Plumbing Journeyman license, which authorizes the holder to perform plumbing installation, alteration, repair, and renovation work while employed by a licensed plumbing contractor.

What This License Authorizes

Plumbing Journeymen may perform the installation, alteration, repair, or renovation of plumbing systems while working under a licensed Plumbing Contractor. Journeymen may not contract for work independently or supervise apprentices without a contractor license. This covers both residential and commercial plumbing work.

Requirements

Experience: 3 years of verifiable experience in the plumbing trade while employed by a licensed plumbing contractor or while serving in the US military.
Examination: Must pass the Plumbing Journeyman technical trade exam.
