File through North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors (NCBEEC) and pay the $200.00 renewal fee once the supporting proof is ready.

North Carolina Electrical Contractor License (Unlimited)
The Unlimited Electrical Contractor license is issued by the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors (NCBEEC) and allows holders to perform electrical contracting work of any value.
Requirements
- Examination: Must pass the NCBEEC Unlimited classification exam
- Qualified Individual: Must designate at least one person as the listed qualified individual
- Insurance: General liability insurance required
- Experience: Demonstrated electrical experience
Renewal Information
- Renewal Period: Annual (by license expiration date)
- Renewal Fee: $200
- Late Fee: $25 administrative fee for late submissions
- Continuing Education: 8 hours per year
- Application Fee: $125 (application and exam fee)
License Classifications
The NCBEEC offers 10 classifications, with the three primary levels being:
- Limited (L): Projects up to $60,000, equipment rated at 600 volts max
- Intermediate (I): Projects up to $150,000
- Unlimited (U): No project value limitation

Unlimited Electrical Contractors can:
- Install and maintain all electrical systems
- Work on residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Perform high-voltage work without restriction
- Pull electrical permits statewide
