Newark Contractor Registration
The City of Newark requires building contractors to obtain a city license to perform construction work requiring building permits within city limits, in addition to the state NJ HIC registration.

- State Registration: Must hold a valid NJ Home Improvement Contractor registration
- Insurance: General liability insurance required
- Zoning Approval: Required for business license
- Fire Certificate: Required for business license
- Application Fee: $200 processing fee

Scope of Work
