Nebraska Class B Journeyman Electrician License

What This License Authorizes

Class B Journeyman Electricians may perform electrical installation work within the scope defined by the State Electrical Board for Class B operations and may supervise registered apprentice electricians.

Qualification Requirements

  • Verifiable experience in the electrical trade, acceptable to the Board
  • Must pass the Class B Journeyman Electrician examination

Fees

  • Exam Fee: $60
  • License Fee: $25 per year of the two-year license period ($50 total for biennial renewal)

Renewal Process

  • Renewal Period: Every 2 years (licenses expire December 31 of even-numbered years)
  • Renewal Fee: $50 (biennial)
  • Continuing Education: 12 hours required, with at least 6 hours on the National Electrical Code

Late Renewal
