Idaho Plumbing Contractor License
The Idaho State Plumbing Board, under DOPL, licenses plumbing contractors who install, alter, and repair plumbing systems. All plumbing contractors must hold a valid license and maintain a compliance bond.
What This License Authorizes
Licensed Plumbing Contractors may perform plumbing installation, alteration, repair, and maintenance work on residential, commercial, and industrial properties throughout Idaho.
Bond and Insurance Requirements
- Compliance Bond: $2,000 surety bond required, must remain active for the full license period
- General Liability Insurance: Required
- Workers' Compensation: Required if you have employees
Examination
Applicants must pass the Idaho plumbing contractor examination before licensure.
