The Milwaukee contractor license authorizes commercial construction work within city limits. Residential work within Milwaukee still requires the state DSPS dwelling contractor license.

Contractors performing both residential and commercial work in Milwaukee need both the state DSPS dwelling contractor license and the city commercial contractor license.
