NYC Roofing Contractor
Roofing contractors in New York City must be registered with the Department of Buildings to perform roofing work and pull permits. Roofing falls under the general contractor registration framework in NYC.
Requirements
- Registration: Must register as a contractor with NYC DOB
- Insurance: General liability ($1M minimum), workers' compensation, and disability insurance
- Financial Proof: Bank statements showing adequate capitalization
- Application: Submitted through DOB NOW portal
