Massachusetts HVAC/Sheet Metal Contractor License
Massachusetts regulates HVAC contractors through sheet metal and pipefitter licensing administered by the Board of Examiners of Sheet Metal Workers (DPL). HVAC work involving ductwork requires a sheet metal license.
Requirements
- Examination: Must pass the applicable Massachusetts trade exam
- Experience: Documented HVAC/sheet metal experience required
- Insurance: General liability and workers' compensation insurance required
- Continuing Education: 6 hours per renewal cycle
- Application Fee: $175

Scope of Work
