Maine Lead Abatement Contractor License
The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Bureau of Remediation and Waste Management, issues Lead Abatement Contractor licenses. This license is required for any business entity performing lead abatement activities in Maine.
What This License Authorizes
Licensed Lead Abatement Contractors may perform lead paint removal, encapsulation, and other lead hazard reduction activities. The company must employ a Maine DEP-certified Lead Abatement Project Supervisor.
Requirements
- Employ at least one Maine DEP-certified Lead Abatement Project Supervisor
- Maintain general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance
- Comply with OSHA lead safety standards
- Application Fee: $275
