Louisiana Plumbing Contractor License
The Louisiana State Plumbing Board licenses plumbing contractors statewide. A license is required for any person or company performing plumbing installations or alterations.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as a journeyman plumber
- Examination: Must pass the State Plumbing Board contractor exam
- Insurance: General liability and workers' compensation required
- Application Fee: $100

- Hours: 6 hours per renewal cycle
- Topics: Louisiana plumbing code updates, backflow prevention, and safety
- Providers: Approved by the State Plumbing Board
