Louisiana Home Improvement Contractor License
The LSLBC licenses home improvement contractors for residential projects valued between $7,500 and $50,000. This license fills the gap between unlicensed minor repairs and the full general contractor license threshold of $50,000.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of residential construction or improvement experience
- Examination: Must pass the LSLBC home improvement contractor exam
- Insurance: General liability and workers' compensation required
