Washington Elevator Contractor License
The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) licenses elevator contractors under the Elevator Safety Act. A valid license is required to install, alter, repair, or maintain elevators and conveyance devices.
Requirements
- Examination: Must pass the L&I elevator contractor exam
- Experience: Documented elevator installation and maintenance experience
- Insurance: General liability and workers' compensation insurance required

Scope of Work
