Cleveland Ohio General Contractor Registration
Cleveland requires general contractors to register with the Department of Building and Housing. As with all Ohio cities, this is a local requirement since Ohio has no statewide general contractor license.
Requirements
- Bond: $25,000 surety bond with the City of Cleveland as obligee
- Insurance: Certificate of insurance designating the City of Cleveland as "additional insured" and "certificate holder"
- Application Fee: $150 for new applicants
- Notarized Application: Must be notarized
- Incorporation: If incorporated, submit copy of Articles of Incorporation
