The Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) regulates all plumbing work in the state. A Master Plumber license is required to contract for plumbing work and supervise other plumbers.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 4 years as a Journeyman Plumber or equivalent qualifying experience
Examination: Must pass the Master Plumber exam
